People said it was to dangerous, why didn't anyone listen?!

The Winter Olympics are being held in Vancouver, Canada. We all probably have watched some part of the Olympics this year, but what I'm sure you've seen or heard is the young 21 year old, Nordar Kumaritashvili. Nordar was a luge slider, and was taking a practice run when he lost control of his sled going over 90 mph. Earlier Nordar told his father that he was scared of the track. The track, Whistler Sliding Centre was said to be the fastest ever. My concern is if so many people were wrecking, and getting hurt. Why would you continue to let them use it. A young man lost his life on the Whistler because, it was simply just to fast.
If people complained about it being to fast why wouldn't they try to fix the problem. Still to this day all they have done is moved the men's starting point down to where the women start, and they have built a wall where Nordar went off course before flying into the pillar. This course is horrible I believe. It's putting peoples lives in danger. Not only the competitors but the fans also. You watch the Olympics and the fans are right there, in the action. So close they could almost touch them. If one person loses control of their sled, they could be seriously hurt, or killed. I believe they should of taken the time to re-do the track. They should of got many workers to work on the track until the racers felt it was safe for them to ride on again. A man lost his life here, and they barely made any safety precautions to change it.

Abortion

I am against abortions. The reason I am against abortions is that I believe that everyone should have a chance at life. I do understand that some women are raped and do get pregnant. I still believe that child could be raised with a different family. There are three hundred million families that are willing to adopt a child. I never have had a child, but I've know the pressure it is to carry around for nine months and then give it away, but it would make another families dreams come true. I am against abortion completely.
I do believe I am against abortions because they seem so cruel, to take someones life. You never know how great that somebody could be. Having a child could be, or would be one of the greatest accomplishments in your life. Keeping the child or not, having a child will make you a much stronger, wiser, and loving person. If you have an abortion that will stay with you forever knowing that you had a child and you ended their life.
I am a pro-life, I believe everyone should have a chance at life. Giving your child up for adoption would make yourself, your family, and the family receiving the baby much happier. I do know a couple that has to adopt because they can not have a child of their own. They recently have adopted their son, from a couple who did not, or were not ready for a child. The couple was not planning on keeping it. Their choices were abortion and adoption. I do believe they made the right decision giving up their child to another family, and not ending the babies life.

To feed Haiti, or to not feed Haiti?

As we all know recently Haiti had 7.0 earthquake. An estimated 3 million were effected by the quake. Many countries responded to help Haiti. Including The United States. The countries helping are giving food, medical aid, pledging funds and much more. I think it is very kind to give them this. There are people in the United States that are more worried about us then them. I do understand that we are really in need of money and food for some of our people because of the economy lately, but if this earthquake would of happened to us I believe other countries would of helped us even if we are one of the richest countries.
I don't understand why people have to be so rude, it's peoples lives, families, and friends. If this happened to you I know you'd be a wreck. Just think if it was your family wouldn't you want someone to take care of them? Wouldn't you want people donating their time, effort, and love to helping your family or friends to get better and back to where they came from?
If I could, I believe I would go to Haiti and give my time and effort into building houses, buildings, and anything else I could do to help them out.
I do find it rude that the famous people hand out millions of dollars to go to this country, when they could of donated it to something in this country we really needed. They could of donated it to cancer research. They could of given it to any Charity, but it is still a very good cause. I do believe we should help Haiti out in any way, it is the human thing to do
